Wuxi National Software Park (I-PARK) covers an area of 1.1 square kilometers, with a planned floor area of 1.65 million square meters and 400,000 square meters finished, among which 70 percent are designed for office area of research and development, 30 percent for services.
After 15 years of development, Wuxi High-Tech Industrial Development Zone now plays an important role in Wuxi’s economic growth. It’s also the science and technology innovation base in Wuxi. 2007 saw a total production output value of $60 million in the area, with per-capita GDP exceeding $15,000 and a total revenue of $11.4 billion.
Xishan Economic Development Zone has introduced more than 1,300 projects, including 600 foreign-funded enterprises from 30 countries and regions in America, Europe and Southeast Asia with a total registered contractual foreign capital of $6.7 billion and paid-in foreign capital of $3.5 billion.
It is administrated and supported by the Ministry of Science and Technology and State Environmental Protection Administration, with its construction and administration project listed in the Priority Development Planning.
