With a planned area of 67,000 square meters, Taihu Square in Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province, has become a "reception hall" for Wuxi.
The square is surrounded by high-end hotels, the Wuxi Library, the Wuxi Museum and the Great Hall of the People in Wuxi.
The central axis area of Taihu Square is beautiful, spacious and tidy. Light shows are staged at night, enthralling tens of thousands of visitors regularly.
Qingyang Park, a part of Taihu Square, is a nostalgic place for many local residents as the gardens and ornaments – trees, houses, ponds – have stood for generations.
Today, Qingyang Park is also used for sports, fitness, and recreation.
