Wuxi in East China's Jiangsu province organized a meeting on Jan 31 with 16 representatives from local foreign-invested businesses to shore up their confidence in the city.
These foreign invested enterprises included SK Hynix Semiconductor (China) Co Ltd, Bosch Automotive Diesel Systems Co, and the supply base of AstraZeneca in Wuxi.
The representatives gave overviews of the development of their enterprises and investment plans in Wuxi. They also shared their advice on furthering cooperation and the high-quality development of Wuxi, while expressing their confidence in the city.
Following an introduction on Wuxi's economic and social development over the past year, Zhao Jianjun, mayor of Wuxi, said that the city will boost market expectations and social confidence. It will also promote growth by improving systems related to modern industries, technological innovation, and modern logistics, as well as by constructing a business cultivation system.
Wuxi will help foreign investors seize opportunities and foreign trade businesses expand markets by making full use of its investment attraction offices in other countries, added the mayor.
Zhao also expressed hope that foreign investors will bring more high-end resources, projects, and capital to Wuxi. He affirmed that local authorities will accelerate the construction of supporting facilities and create a favorable environment for foreign investors to operate and live.
During the meeting, the latest measures rolled out by the country, Jiangsu province, and Wuxi were also introduced.
