A business delegation consisting of 20 members from Wuxi in East China's Jiangsu province started their 10-day European trip on Dec 9.
It is the second overseas business trip organized by local authorities this year to bring in more orders and investments.
Zhang Jun, president of Wuxi Zehua Business Co Ltd, which secured orders worth 21 million yuan ($3.01 million) during the first trip to Japan, said the company plans to visit its old client in France to talk about building a facility together in China while securing more orders.
"Going abroad is necessary," noted Wang Yuanpei, general manager of Wuxi Jiejin Precision Machinery Co Ltd. "International markets have experienced tremendous changes over the past three years and we are eager to communicate with our clients face to face to consolidate our relations."
Wang revealed that the company is set to clinch a purchase order worth 50 million yuan and a 10-million-yuan new project.

Zheng Yeping, another delegation member and head of the Xishan Economic and Technological Development Zone in Wuxi, will have a full schedule during the European trip.
Zheng said that he will spare no effort to attract more high-quality investment to the zone.
Wuxi authorities' efforts have paid off. The Japanese trip over one month ago saw the signing of orders worth $30 million and cooperation agreements on 12 projects worth $720 million.
In addition, local authorities have arranged for 200 enterprises to attend exhibitions overseas, during which orders worth $350 million have been secured so far this year.
