Wuxi in East China's Jiangsu province showcased its unique Jiangnan style and rich culture at a promotional meeting held in Beijing on Nov 17.

The city displayed its abundant cultural and tourism attractions and innovations in intangible cultural heritage at the meeting.

Immersive experience zones for Huishan tea parties, the Nianhua Bay scenic area, and the Donglin Academy were featured, while Wuxi national intangible cultural heritage items, including Huishan clay figurines, purple clay teapots, Wuxi embroidery, and bamboo carving, were also on display.

Participants of the meeting also learned about the most trendy travel routes in Wuxi from tourism enthusiasts.

Renowned as the Pearl of Taihu Lake and a prosperous area in the Jiangnan region, Wuxi is known for its scenic Jiangnan-style landscapes, delicious food, and comfortable lifestyle, while Beijing is a modern and international city with rich cultural and tourism attractions, including seven world intangible cultural heritage sites.

The complementarity of the cultural and tourism attractions between the two cities is a significant reason Wuxi is appealing to Beijing residents, who can travel to the city in less than two hours by air and five hours by rail.
