Wuxi in East China's Jiangsu province is soliciting works for the 2022 International Cartoon and Illustration Exhibition.
The solicitation is open to art enthusiasts, cartoonists, and illustrators worldwide.
With Wuxi being the artistic subject, entries should be created under the theme of low-carbon life, zero-carbon city, clear rivers and green mountains, one-thousand-year cultural history, or innovation hub.
Submitted works can either be cartoons, illustrations, or other painting genres no smaller than 2MB in size with a resolution of 176 dpi. These works should be saved in JPG format.
Those interested can email competition@chinadaily.com.cn before Oct 20 to submit their works with the subject being "Discover Wuxi" and the name of the creator.
Five outstanding entries will be selected and showcased both online and offline. Their creators will receive certificates and culturally creative products from China Daily.
Other listed entries will be on display both online and offline and certificates will be issued to their creators.
The solicitation event is sponsored by the Publicity Department of the CPC Wuxi Municipal Committee, the Information Office of the Wuxi Municipal People's Government, and the China Daily Times' Palette Studio. Partners include the Academy of Design of Jiangnan University and the China Journalistic Caricature Society.
