The Wuxi municipal bureau of commerce recently cooperated with Alibaba.com to roll out 10 measures to support cross-border e-commerce.
These measures are expected to ensure cross-border e-commerce businesses can receive orders and money from customers, deliver their goods, receive loans, and recruit more workers.
Measures involving cross-border logistics and financial services, which were released by the end of May, benefited 13,000 businesses.
Alibaba.com will support its online stores in marketing themselves in 10 European countries and America and help them attain more customers via online exhibitions and livestreams.
The e-commerce platform also offers extended repayment services and interest-free loans to its stores and extends the repayment date for loans based on orders to a maximum of 90 days.
In addition, Wuxi and Alibaba.com will cooperate with 2,000 universities to cultivate 1 million cross-border e-commerce talent and help university graduates find jobs.
Statistics show that in the first three months of the year, Wuxi saw the trade value of cross-border e-commerce total 536 million yuan ($80.62 million).
